We believe that each child is born with unique potential waiting to be revealed. Staying true to the values and educational excellence of the Montessori method, our focus is on a individualised, well-rounded and holistic curriculum. We seek to develop each child to their fullest in a prepared, nurturing and open environment.

House on the Hill are proud advocates for Montessori vertical learning, where children of mixed ages learn together; and individual pacing, where the teachers customised learning journey for each child. Many parents find these concepts compelling but difficult to visualise, so for the week of 3-7 February 2020, House on the Hill Pasir Panjang will be holding an Open Week.

Open Week allows parents the chance to have a guided tour of House on the Hill in session. Observe the children in their element as they go through their Montessori 3-hour work cycles – and see the difference this makes on focus and learning.

Why House On The Hill?

Founded in 2012, our specially-trained Montessori educators help to ensure our individually-tailored, holistic curriculum instils strong language and mathematical skills, preparing each child for their next step in either local or international schools.

Our students graduate well-rounded individuals; global citizens who are equipped with a lifelong love of learning.

CHILD-CENTERED LEARNING

We focus on an approach of hands-on experiential learning in stimulating environments, coupled with a curriculum individually tailored for the optimum development of each child where progress is monitored exclusively one child at a time.

We work hand-in-hand with parents and involve them in their child’s learning journey and school happenings, allowing them to actively participate in the development of their child.

GOING BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

To build critical thinking skills and creative independence, we create and weave in experiences that help with fostering a lifelong love of learning.

Life is an adventure and at House on the Hill, our children are imbued with a lasting sense of positivity to seize every moment of life.

PURPOSEFULLY DESIGNED ENVIRONMENT

Our carefully designed environment features specialized Montessori materials and manipulatives that were designed by Maria Montessori for children’s learning and development. In this prepared environment children learn about language, mathematics, culture and more from tangible, hands-on materials that excite their interest and inspire their curiosity.

Our learning materials are environmentally friendly and crafted out of natural products such as wood, to nurture each child’s sensorial development.

Nurturing Through Nutrition

We are what we eat and this is doubly so for children. At House on the Hill, we source only the highest quality produce to create well-balanced and nutritious meals for our growing children. This allows them to concentrate better and learn more actively in a creative and open environment.

Our menu has been developed in collaboration with Ian Marber (‘The Food Doctor’), an internationally-renowned expert on diet and nutrition and a regular contributor on leading publications including Marie Claire and The Telegraph in the UK.

Since April 2018, we have been certified by Singapore’s Health Promotion Board in delivering Healthy Meals in Pre-schools Programme (HMPP). The meals change daily, are nutritionally rich and tasty with no added salt or sugar.
