Learning at House on the Hill was fun and memorable. The teachers nurtured each child to their fullest potential and Mikaela’s leadership and good self-help skills were put to use in her primary school.

Mikaela was well prepared for primary school with House on the Hill curriculum that instils strong language and mathematical skills for each child. She was able to adapt to primary school learning easily. With confidence and trust, I worked hand in hand with the teachers as they provide feedback to improve on Mikaela’s learning.

Transition to primary school was smooth with no fuss all thanks to the teachers at House on the Hill!

I was about to go back to work, and was looking for a good, caring and nurturing environment, which I can trust to leave my son for the day. It was also very important to me that the school and the teachers were listening to my preferences and concerns, whether it be about weaning, sleep schedule or general daily routine. Ongoing communication with the teachers and regular updates is very important as well. I also appreciate the balanced nutritious meal plan the school has, so that I do not have to worry about Leon missing out on the healthy food while at school.

Nuestro hijo mayor asistió al preescolar House on the Hill desde la edad de 18 meses y el nivel de cuidado y calidad de la educación es sobresaliente. Oli siempre ha sido un niño intenso y el equipo docente siempre se preocupó y apasionó por su desarrollo academico y emocional. Se divirtió todos los días en la escuela, incluso se negaba a volver a casa por las tardes pues preferia quedarse en la escuela, también amaba la comidas (el menú es increíblemente saludable, pero delicioso). A la edad de 5.5 años, Oli ya podia hacer ejercicios matemáticos simples y lectura básica que disfrutó a fondo. Nuestro hijo menor se encuentra actualmente en HotH y tiene la misma experiencia. Estaremos eternamente agradecidos al equipo por su contribución a la felicidad y educación de nuestros hijos. 

Our eldest son attended House on the Hill from the age of 18 months and the level of care and quality of education is outstanding. Oli is an incredibly intense boy and the teaching team were always caring and passionate about his development. He had fun every day at school, to the extent that he refused to come home in the afternoons, he also loved the food offered at the school (the incredibly healthy but delicious menu has been devised with small ones in mind).

By the age of 5.5 years old, Oli was able to do simple math exercises and basic reading which he enjoyed thoroughly. Our youngest son is currently at HotH and having the same experience. We will be forever grateful to the team for such an amazing contribution to our children’s happiness and education.

HotH provided opportunities for Philip to learn beyond the curriculum and we feel that HotH have a good environment for learning and great assistance for any obstacles in personal development for Philip.

清潔で整頓された教室、緑に溢れた風通しの良いお庭にはシンガポールならでわの熱帯雨林。毎日楽しく通っています。 

先生はいつも機会を与えてくれます。良い事か悪い事かを考える機会。お友達と協力したり、年下のお友達を助ける機会。時間は掛かりますが、正解不正解だけを教わるよりも、こども達にとって大切なことだと思います。

Maia has exceeded any expectations we had in terms of academic achievement. She is in a school with small class sizes similar to HotH and a setting which allows children to study at their own pace and move forward quickly if they grasp, understand and pass the relevant primary level test.  She has been quick to accept new challenges and is so motivated by seeing her own results, that it drives her even more. We honestly do believe that having had a good foundation for her education from her time at HotH helped her strengthen this belief in herself too.

 蓦然最初来到HotH时有些害羞,但随着时间的积累,他与老师、小朋友的交流越来越顺畅,他也变得更加自信、开朗。回家后他会很开心的与我们分享当天老师和小朋友发生了哪些事情、课堂上新学了哪些东西。。。。。。他已经把HotH当成了生活的一部分! 

这里的老师会很细致的观察蓦然,随时反馈、交流他在学校的情况,给出更适合他个人的成长建议。学校也会通过不同的渠道传递先进、有利的教育理念和方法。这为我们更好的理解孩子提供了帮助和支持。   

总之,这是一个有温度、可以让孩子和父母共同成长的 

When Moran first come to the HotH, he was shy and quiet. Over time, he started to open up to teachers and friends, becoming more confident and fluent. He loves telling us stories from school, such as what he has learned and what his friends and teachers did in school today. HotH has become an important part of his daily life!

The teachers at HotH observe Moran very carefully, providing us with lots of details and feedback on what he does in school and also suggestions on how to help him with his personal development.  The school also provides the parents with various parenting and education workshops, tips, and tools that support and help us understand our children better. 

HotH is more than a school, it is a home, warm and full of love, where parents and children grow together!

Joshua was certainly more than ready for P1 in all aspects. He was independent and confident on his first day of school. He also showed little difficulty handling the academic portion of P1. His P1 teachers at our first PTA presented a picture of a confident boy who cared a lot for friends and was conscientious with his work with a good learning orientation.

Cuando Sonsoles llegó a HOTH sabía muy poquito inglés (con 2 años de edad, tampoco mucho español), pero en tan solo dos meses, gracias al cariño y al buen hacer de las profesoras, ya era capaz de hacerse entender. En Primaria cambió a un colegio internacional, y ahora que estamos de vuelta en nuestro país, no podemos estar más satisfechos de lo bien preparada que llega, el buen camino que ha seguido en su educación y el interés en aprender que se le inculcó desde los primeros años de enseñanza. El recuerdo que ha dejado en Sonsoles su paso por HOTH está lleno de cariño, comprensión y estímulo. Aún pregunta por Miss Rachael y Mis Asy de vez en cuando con una sonrisa y recuerda el buen ambiente que Miss Marilyn creó con su equipo.   

When Sonsoles first arrived to House on the Hill she knew very little English, but two months later, thanks to the love and know-how of the teachers, she was able to make herself understood. Once she moved to an international school in Primary, and now that we’re back in our home country, we can’t be more satisfied of how well prepared she has been, the learning path she was directed through and the interest in learning more and more that was nurtured in her since the first stages. The memories that Sonsoles keeps of her passage through House on the Hill are full of love, understanding and encouragement. She keeps asking for Miss Rachael and Miss Asy from time to time and remembers the good atmosphere created by Miss Marilyn and her team.

We have witnessed Jayce’s growth in many aspects while he attended the Nido Programme. He amazes us on a daily basis with his speech and daily skills ability. Jayce is able to recognise his work which we showcase at home. At 17.5 months old, he initiates his desire to self-feed during meal time at home.

This is all credit to his teachers in the Boisterous Bear class! His teachers also kept us informed on their plan to help Jayce transition to the Playgroup class and routine—such as keeping him engaged in activities to help him drop morning nap, which he succeeded at! They brought him to the Playgroup class to have a feel of the routine and environment when he was 17months old, and I was glad to know that he enjoys being there.

Yang kami cari dari sebuah sekolah kami temukan di House on the Hill. Lingkungan sekolahnya hangat, guru-gurunya sabar dan penuh perhatian. Metode Montessori membuat pembelajaran menjadi menarik dan menyenangkan. Guru Arka, Ms. Rachael, telah memberi banyak masukan kepada kami untuk membantu Arka belajar, dan selalu menginformasikan kami tentang kegiatannya di sekolah. Kami sangat senang karena Arka menyukai sekolahnya, dan berkembang di lingkungan ini.

What we were looking for from a school we found at House on the Hill. The school environment is warm, the teachers are patient and caring. The Montessori method makes learning fun and interesting. Arka’s teacher, Ms. Rachael, has given us lot of input to help Arka learn, and she always keeps us update with all his activities at school. We are really happy that Arka loves his school, and thriving in this environment.

Our experience was great [at House on the Hill]. We felt that Emma is in good and responsible hands. We felt that everyone’s focus is to educate and nurture while understanding that every child needs are unique.

The teachers were really doing their best to help Emma progress and we could see her developing day by day.  HotH approach is holistic from plating and learning to health and nutrition experts. Emma had a lot of fun!

Bei der Wahl einer Vorschule fuer unsere Tochter Naia war es uns sehr wichtig eine Schule zu finden, die die Montessori Philosophie vollstaendig einbezieht. Als wir dann House on the Hill entdeckt haben, wussten wir, dass wir die richtige Schule gefunden haben. Was uns unter anderem begeistert, ist wie gut durchdacht der Lehrplan ist, welcher darauf ausgerichtet ist, die Kinder sowohl auf spielerische Art akademisch zu foerdern, als ihnen auch praktische Werte wie Umweltvertraeglichkeit und eine gesunde Lebensweise beizubringen. Naia hat sich in den letzten zwei Jahren toll entwickelt, ist sehr selbststaendig und sehr stolz darauf, was sie in der Schule dazu lernt. Man kann ganz deutlich spueren, dass die Lehrer und das ganze HOTH Team ihren Beruf mit Leidenschaft nachgehen; sie sind alle – mit Kopf und Herzen – voll eingebunden in der Entwicklung der Kinder. Naia erzaehlt uns staendig, dass sie es kaum erwarten kann, bis ihre kleine Schwester alt genug ist, um auch bei HOTH zur Schule zu gehen.

When we initially researched preschools for our daughter Naia we were really keen on finding one that fully embraces the Montessori philosophy and were excited when we came across House on the Hill. We love how well thought through the entire curriculum is both nurturing them academically and beyond that integrating (environmental) sustainability and healthy living practices. Naia has really blossomed in the past 2 years, having become so independent and proudly showing us all the new things she has learned in school. You can really tell that the HOTH Teachers and the entire staff are passionate about what they do, being fully immersed in your child’s development with their head and their heart. 

Naia keeps telling us that she can’t wait for her baby sister to be old enough and join HOTH!

We had some concerns in the last year of her pre-school especially as she might be the only few children in her class going to local school. The local school system is known to be more academic focused and competitive which we worried would be stressful for Maya. Teacher Lina, Shao laoshi, Gim Peng were really helpful in making extra efforts to make sure the transition to P1 would be smooth for Maya.

Nos enfants Sylvester et Myles sont scolarisés à House on The Hill depuis qu’ils ont 18 mois, et nous sommes ravis de notre décision de les y avoir inscrits  L’approche Montessori  leur convient très bien et de plus ils passent beaucoup de temps à jouer en extérieur et à découvrir les fleurs et les plantes du jardin.   Nous apprécions particulièrement l’absence totale d’écrans et les menus très sains qui leur sont offerts à midi et au gouter. Les maitresses sont passionnées par leur métier et prennent le temps de bien connaitre nos enfants et de s’assurer que les apprentissages leur sont adaptes. L’école communique fréquemment et clairement avec nous sur tout ce qui se déroule dans la classe. En somme, nous recommandons chaudement House on the Hill! 

Our children Myles and Sylvester have been attending House On The Hill since they are 18 months old, and we are still very happy with our decision to have then schooled there. The Montessori approach really works for them, and they love the frequent outdoor play and activities, discovering plants and flowers in the garden. We particularly appreciate the complete absence of screens as well as the very healthy menus for lunch and snacks. The teachers are passionate about their role and really take the time to get to know our children and make sure the teaching works for them. The school communicates frequently and clearly about class activities. In summary we highly recommend House on the Hill!
